                       An author is born…

I always liked writing, but as with the rest, I didn't dare to show what I wrote, except to my family and close friends whom I regularly flooded with more or less finished poems that were always appreciated by their readers. And then, one fine day, a true story recounted by a female friend, came back to me, a touching and original story. With a film producer's reflex, I told myself that one day I would hire a scriptwriter, have it written, first version, revision, author's contract, etc. Except that, since then, I had already passed from amateur of abstract paintings to painter with a first exhibition under his belt and even some fans, of whom my daughter was the most passionate… good blood couldn't lie ! Then I told myself, very naturally : why not me ? In a plane which brought me from Tel Aviv to Paris, I wrote a first version during the four and a half hour flight, in the form of a theater play with two characters. At first I was surprised by the reality of the play, my very first opus, and said to myself, very modestly, "an author is born !" I quickly became disenchanted of course and after a dozen rewritings, I decided to be helped. Chance, as always, the only ally on which it is always possible to count on to surprise us, put me on the path of Philippe Grimbert, a distinguished psychoanalyst and successful writer. "Un secret", 1 000 000 copies sold ! To my great surprise, he agreed to work with me on the play. I was so surprised that I spontaneously and excessively doubled the honest wage he had asked me for the job ! Undoubtedly, the price to pay for my lack of confidence in myself, even if widely solved since in the interest of saving money. In short, our play "Retour", met with approval, will be played on stage soon and I am working on a cinema adaptation that I intend to direct myself. My self confidence had made giant steps that I sometimes found hard to contain and as if to prove to myself that I had every reason to believe in me, I continued writing a monologue called "Rencontre de famille" and I am currently writing another play with a promising title : "Demain".
